The 23-year-old goalkeeper will stay at La Lepra until 2024.
Newell’s Old Boys have announced that Williams Barlasina has been tied down to a new long-term contract keeping him in Rosario until December 2024.
Barlasina has been the Newell’s Reserves keeper for the past few years but has made the first team bench on a number of occasions recently.
Yet to make his full debut, he stands at 1.95m and is seen within the club as a long-term replacement for Alan Aguerre who has recently fallen out of favour at Newell’s.
Born in the Santa Fe town of Providencia, he joined Newell’s as a 16-year-old in 2013 and has moved up through the ranks since then.
