Fernando Gamboa started his second spell as Newell’s Old Boys manager on Monday.

Newell’s Old Boys returned to pre-season training on Monday 14 June at the Jorge Griffa Training Centre.

There is no information on what the next season holds in terms of structure but it’s expected that a new tournament will begin in mid to late July. The championship will return to a regular league format instead of the Copa de la Liga cup-style competition.

Defenders: Cristian Lema, Yonathan Cabral, Manuel Capasso, Santiago Gentiletti, Milton Leyendeker, Facundo Mansilla and Juan Freytes.

Wing-backs: Franco Escobar, Mariano Bittolo, Franco Negri, Manuel Llano and Facundo Nadalín.

Midfielders: Pablo Pérez, Jerónimo Cacciabue, Juan Sforza, Braian Rivero, Fernando Belluschi, Mateo Maccari, Diego Calcaterra, Nicolás Castro, Ramiro Sordo, Guillermo Balzi and Denis Rodríguez.

Forwards: Maximiliano Rodríguez, Ignacio Scocco, Jonathan Cristaldo, Justo Giani, Alexis Rodríguez, Julián Marcioni, Luciano Cingolani and Francisco González.
