Newell’s sign goalkeeper Lautaro Morales on-loan from Lanús

The 22-year-old could go straight into the first team

Newell’s Old Boys have confirmed the loan signing of Lanús goalkeeper Lautaro Morales. The deal is a 12-month loan with no purchase option or option to extend. Lanús will have the option to recall the player in December if needed.

Morales came through the youth system at Lanús and has previously been called up to the Argentina U20 squad.

He has made 53 professional appearences so far, playing in the Copa Sudamericana for Lanús as well as matches in the Primera División and Copa Argentina.

With Ramiro Macagno set to miss a further 3 to 4 games on the sidelines, Morales could go straight into the Newell’s team to face Colón on Sunday. He will take the place of 18-year-old Franco Herrera who has filled the gap so far since Macagno got injured.

Welcome to Newell’s, Lautaro!
