Lepers Abroad: Gameweek ending 14 September

From Newell’s to the Premier League: El Loco at Anfield

Welcome to our round-up for the Gameweek ending 14 September 2020.

Lepers Abroad refers to the performances of ex-Newell’s players and coaches, along with well-known fans of Newell’s Old Boys, who now ply their trade outside of Argentina.

ENGLAND

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United made their comeback to the Premier League with a brave performance in a 4-3 loss to champions Liverpool. The eyes of Argentina were on Bielsa’s side and there was widespread admiration for the way in which they attacked a Liverpool side who haven’t lost a league game at Anfield for 3 years.
