The 33-year-old goalkeeper returns to the club where he made his professional debut.
Lucas Hoyos has become Gabriel Heinze’s third signing of the summer window. He joins La Lepra permanently on a 3-year deal from Vélez Sarsfield where he once played for Heinze.
Hoyos originally emerged through the Newell’s youth academy but left after just one professional game in 2014. Since then, he has played for Instituto, Atlético Rafaela and Vélez Sarsfield with loan spells at San Martin de Tucumán and Gimnasia (LP).
