ENGLAND
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United earned a draw in a fantastic duel with Guardiola’s Manchester City which ended 1-1 at Elland Road.
SPAIN
Lionel Messi played the full 90 minutes in Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Sevilla.
Lucas Boyé scored a superb goal on his first start for new club Elche, grabbing the winner in a 0-1 win away to Eibar. On 3 October, he played a full game in Elche’s 0-0 draw with Huesca.
FRANCE
Mauro Icardi played the full game for PSG but didn’t contribute any goals or assists in their 6-1 thrashing of Angers in Ligue 1.
ITALY
Fernando Forestieri came on after 63 minutes for Udinese in their 0-1 home defeat to AS Roma.
Nicolás Spolli was an unused substitute as newly promoted Crotone lost 4-1 away at Sassuolo.
Enzo Barrenechea was taken off after 53 minutes in Juventus u19s 1-0 win over AC Milan u19s.
NETHERLANDS
Lisandro Martínez came off the bench after 76 minutes but couldn’t prevent Ajax losing 1-0 away to Groningen.
RUSSIA
Ezequiel Ponce was Spartak’s goalscorer in their 1-1 draw with rivals Zenit in front of a limited number of fans at the Otkritie Arena in Moscow. Ponce grabbed a late equaliser for Spartak after 86 minutes.
GREECE
Daniel Mancini scored the only goal of the game in a big win for Aris Thessaloniki away to Panathinaikos (0-1).
CYPRUS
Adrian Lucero and Emanuel Dening finally won a game with Enosis who picked up three points at home to AEK Larnaca in the Cypriot First Division (2-1). Lucero started at left-back and was withdrawn with minutes remaining while Dening also started but was replaced midway through the second half.
UNITED STATES
Maxi Urruti scored his first goal since football returned in the US as Montreal Impact drew 2-2 with Chicago Fire. He was substituted after 87 minutes by manager Thierry Henry.
Franco Escobar completed a full 90 minutes as Atlanta United turned things around by beating DC United 0-4 away from home.
Milton Valenzuela was ever present for Columbus Crew, playing the full game in their 2-2 draw with FC Dallas.
MEXICO
Nahuél Guzmán kept a clean sheet in Tigres’ 3-0 win over Atlético San Luis.
Luis Leal came on as a sub in Club Tijuana’s 2-1 win over Juárez FC on 1 October and then started the 0-0 draw with CD Guadalajara on 4 October before being replaced with ten minutes to go.
Andres Lillini’s Pumas maintained their decent run of form by securing a 2-2 draw with Club América.
ECUADOR
Victor Figueroa was the creator again for Aucas, laying on two assists in the 4-1 win over Francisco Frydriszewski‘s LDU Portoviejo on 3 October.
El Polaco didn’t play in the match as he was suspended after receiving a red card in the 2-2 draw with Macará on 29 September. He had earlier opened the scoring in the game before he was dismissed in injury time for a second yellow card.
